Just about any idea on the following blogs are great for last minute wrapping inspiration and gift ideas…
Alright, now that you’re overwhelmed with a million + 1 ideas, here’s a super simple sugar scrub to make for your sister, mom, neighbor or even your partner.
In a medium mixing bowl mix…
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup Olive Oil, Avocado Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Apricot Kernal Oil OR 76 degree Coconut oil (or a mixture of any of the above)
DO NOT USE VEGETABLE, CANOLA, PEANUT OR SAFFLOWER OIL!
If you’d like a scented version and have some essential oil laying around, you can use just plain table sugar with one of the oils listed above and 10 drops of your essential oil. Mix well. The best oils for the face are rose, lavender, peppermint, tea tree, eucalyptus and chamomile. But just about any essential oil will do.
This scrub can be used all over the body or just on the face. Make sure the container you use seals tight when closed and has a large enough opening for a few fingers. It has a shelf life of about a month, 3 if you refrigerate it (which makes it harder to use). To extend the shelf life to 6 months, add 1 tsp of vitamin E oil to the mixture.
When using the scrub, apply generously avoiding the eyes. Rinse well. You may not need to moisturize after using this scrub. The oils chosen are for their absorptive qualities. Your skin loves them!!
Happy gift making!
